"On the boys side, we continue to struggle a little bit," said Borgia Head Coach Kurt Russell. "We have three seniors on our team that have never run a cross country race before this fall, but, just like the girls, are putting out great efforts. The seniors we have really provide a lot of leadership for us (Nick Brehe, Patrick Eckelkamp, Michael Holdinghausen, Patrick Johnson, and Brian Haberberger). We rely heavily on sophomore Sam Rudloff. We really think he is close to having a breakout race. His workouts have given us indication that he is ready to run really well. Our most improved runner on the boys side is probably Philip Kleekamp, he is always out there giving his best shot. For the boys varsity race, the course was really deteriorating. It was actually really fun to watch."
