The retail store will sell the gifts developed around a theme of North American indigenous wildlife.
"While not intentional, the store will fit with the history of Lewis and Clark that is so prevalent on the Washington Riverfront," said Ted Swoboda, Ideaman president.
The line is designed to appeal to any outdoor enthusiast, Swoboda said.
"The graphics, inspirational sayings, interesting information and functionality of the items allow modern day explorers to showcase their passion for hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, birdwatching, horseback riding or any other activity that involves nature or wildlife," he said.
The store sells wall clocks, travel mugs, ceramic dishes, puzzles and more featuring over 25 different species of wildlife.
Wild bird products also will be sold including seeds, feeders, books and gifts.
Outdoor enthusiasts can find coffees, snacks, soup mixes, rubs, sauces and more as well.
The store will be geared toward men's gifts with the target consumer of women and children, Swoboda said.
"Our store also has much appeal to anyone who has an appreciation for nature and wildlife or enjoys the great outdoors," he said."
Christmas gift boxes also will be available including options like camouflage buckets, duffle bags, ammo boxes and wooden crates all filled with appropriate gifts and accessories that can be customized to feature a wildlife species of choice.
The store will ship the custom boxes anywhere in the continental United States.
Discover Outdoors has opened with a short-term lease to test the viability of the market. It is located in the space formerly occupied by ZuZu's.
It will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
