Mrs. Sarah Palin - From Missouri?

To The Editor:
Everyone knows the media and the other powers-that-be have given Sarah Palin a hard time. Not that she is unqualified to govern, but she is dangerous. As governor of the largest (that's difficult for an ex-Texan to admit) and possibly the most richly endowed state, she cleaned out many problems within her own party before approaching the sins of the other one. This makes one dangerous to many people.

Mrs. Palin (she would not mind me calling her Mrs. - that's a worthy title) did not stay around as governor, taking a government paycheck after her work was complete, so she passed the governing privilege on to others. (That is admirable.)

I dare say Sarah Palin does not really belong to the Republican Party. She belongs to a party different than many of her associates and her critics. She belongs to the Party of the People, the Patriot Party, the Reconstitution Party, the Commonsense Party, the Straight Party, the Sharing-by-Choice Party, the God-of-the-Bible Party, the Law-Abiding Party, the Small Government Party and the Life-Respecting Party.

She does not belong to the political class (or party, if you will), the Progressive Party, the Oppressive Party, the Redistribution Party, the Half-Truth Party, the Corruption Party, the Reimagining Party, the Socialist Party, the Elite Party, the Taking-by-Fiat Party, the Gun-Control Party, the Law-Breaking Party, the Big Government Party, or the Aborting Party.

So what Sarah Palin needs now is liberty and opportunity (still not bad objectives for the USA). I welcome her to the lower 48, maybe to Missouri, the population center of the nation, where she can "show us" her vision for America. She can teach us to sing, "Take Back America, the Land That I Love." (Words and music on request.) I'm sure we can help her locate a fine, reasonably priced home for her large family, lakes and rivers in which to fish, two four-wheelers and airline access to the whole nation. I would invite her to establish residency in Missouri and run for U.S. senator in 2010 (precedence has already been established by others). She is already over-qualified since she has much more experience than a community organizer. So, Mrs. Mayor, Governor, Vice Presidential Candidate Palin, come on down!

Huh?
Mrs. Palin didn't bow out of the governorship because she felt she had accomplished everything that needed to be done in Alaska. (hmmmmm, did she take this directly from Matt Blunt's playbook?)....she bowed out because she could make a lot more money being a talk-show host or "writing" a book (?) or traipsing around the country spouting "you betcha" and winking for fat fees, while auditioning for higher office.

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would want this goofy woman running anything in government? She can't put together a cohesive sentence, much less take on the responsibility of a constituency. The fact that she has "family values" (...how's that "abstinence for teens" workin' out for you?) doesn't make her qualified for office of any kind, ...and she has already shown us what happens when the going gets tough.....she quits.

Please don't bring her here. I, personally want someone smart, thoughtful, decisive and well-read as my representative in government. She has proven to be none of these.

Palin's history
Remember the famous Katie Couric interview when Sarah Palin was asked to discuss a Supreme Court decision with which she disagreed. "Well, let's see. There's, of course in the great history of America there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but …"
Couric asked: "Can you think of any?"
Palin said: "Well, I could think of … any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But, you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today."
Huh?

She makes great statements like: “Well, there is a danger in allowing some obsessive partisanship to get into the issue that we’re talking about today. And that’s something that John McCain, too, his track record, proving that he can work both sides of the aisle, he can surpass the partisanship that must be surpassed to deal with an issue like this.”
Huh?

Here's a couple of reminders of Palin's abilities:
She knew nothing about the Bush Doctrine and the National Security Strategy it was a part of.
People thought she won the V.P. debate because she did NOT implode.

You may want those characteristics for a leader. Personally, I want a leader who can speak in complete thought-out sentences, who has some idea of what previous leaders have done and their policies, who may not be perfect but isn't considered a success just because (s)he does NOT make a fool of themselves.

I wish Ms. Palin the best in the future, but that future maybe shouldn't include politics.

no more Palin
Do you have any idea of one of the reasons why McCain lost the election, We all saw the true side of Sarah Palin, she hurt him a lot. I know people that were going to vote for McCain until she came on the scene, it was almost like a carnival the way she paraded her family around. I think it is fine to show the children off. but she over did it. Are you telling me Palin had no ties to any corrupt people, if so she is the only person in politics. Do not forget the witch hunt that did happen at her church.

George.....
There is a moral break down in our country. Most politicians are corrupt. Obama has many many many many ties to corrupted organizations. Why would you mis-direct people about Sarah Palin and high light some of Obama's corrupt friends.....I believe you do not want to see the truth
