Rues-Alfermann Wedding Vows Read

Brenda Rose Alfermann, O'Fallon, and Nathan G. Rues, Fishers, Ind., were united in marriage Nov. 29, 2008, at Assumption Catholic Church in O'Fallon. Father Joe Kempf officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.


Bride's parents are Kenneth and Rosella Alfermann, Washington. Grandmother is Bertha Eckelkamp, Washington.
Groom's parents are Allen and Patricia Rues, Springfield. Grandmother is Mildred Witt, Pierce City.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Serving as maid of honor was Janet Scheier, bride's sister. Bridesmaids were Julie Davis, Greta Geringer, and Sandra Dillon. Junior bridesmaids were Theresa Scheier and Clare Scheier, bride's nieces.
Best man was Tim Alfermann, bride's brother. Groomsmen were Aaron Rues and Andrew Rues, groom's brothers, and Douglas Royal.
Flower girl was Madison Rues, groom's niece. Ring bearer was Garrett Scheier, bride's nephew.
Usher was Adam Tiehes.
Lectors were Julie Alfermann, bride's sister-in-law, Judy Westhoff, bride's aunt, and Dennis Rues, groom's uncle. Presentation of the gifts was made by Maria Aubin and Laura Rues, groom's sisters.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Trigg Banquet Center in O'Fallon.
The bride is a graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School, and obtained a BSN degree from Southeast Missouri State University. In 2006, she graduated from Maryville University with a Master of Science in nursing degree. She is employed by Clarian North Medical Center in Carmel, Ind., as a nurse practitioner.
The groom attended Springfield Catholic High School in Springfield and graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by General Motors in Indianapolis, Ind., as a hybrid product engineer.
After a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, the couple reside in Fishers, Ind.
