Like many mothers, Tami Luehr beamed when talking about her son's new venture.
"He's one of the youngest entrepreneurs in Franklin County and he's brought his huge vision here to Washington," she said. "Ryan is just tenacious. He's a go-getter."
The family-run business prides itself on its therapeutic ambiance.
"I walk in here and I feel like this is how a person is supposed to feel," Tami Luehr said.
So far the response at the month-old business has all been positive, O'Toole said.
The business offers membership and nonmembership rates for its services. Memberships are $10 a month.
For one-hour massages, members will pay $39 while nonmembers will pay $69.
This month the center is offering the $39 price for any first-time customer, however.
The memberships encourage people to establish a regular wellness program, Luehr said.
A wellness program serves as a preventative approach, said Dr. Zachary Laboube who staffs the skin care center alongside esthetician Ashley Connor and nurse Lauren Gerber.
The skin care center, which is up and running but still waiting on additional specialized equipment, will offer facials, nonsurgical facelifts, cold laser treatments, body wraps, waxing, cosmetic makeup services and more.
"Our philosophy is you need to look your best to feel your best," Laboube said.
Bookings for services in the skin care center are now being accepted.
Services may be customized to the clients, Luehr said.
"People are impressed by the array of services offered," Luehr said.
With a push towards healthy living in the country as a whole, O'Toole said he wanted to open a place where people could de-stress.
"The bottom line is that mind, body and spirit all need to be in line and if any of those are out of balance your entire well-being is affected," Tami Luehr said.
Finding a quality professional staff came easy, she said.
"We got the word out that we were going to open a holistic health center in Washington and we had so many professionals come to us saying it has been something needed in Franklin County for years," she said.
Unlike other places in the area simply offering skin care or massage services, Body, Mind & Spirit also has a dance studio for dance movement therapies and a yoga and meditation room, both for hosting sessions led by qualified instructors.
In the future the business may add nutrition and other classes to further promote total body wellness.
