Accident on Route TT Leaves Three Seriously Injured

A two-vehicle accident on Route TT Wednesday evening left five people injured, three seriously. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Katherine Selby, 16, St. Clair, was traveling westbound on Route TT in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van when it was struck in the driver side by a 1998 Honda Civic driven by Genny Hale, 23, Washington.
Reports say Hale failed to yield at a stop sign while traveling northbound on Iron Hill Road. Riding with Hale were Taylor Bellamy, 20, Union, Sean Goddard, 24, Union, and Steven Talley, 23, Union. Taylor and Talley were seriously injured and were airlifted from the scene to St. John's Mercy Hospital, Creve Couer.
Hale also received serious injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Goddard and Selby received moderate injuries and also were transported by ambulance. Selby was wearing her seat belt. None of the occupants in the Honda Civic were wearing safety devices, according to the patrol.
