Saturday's meet with Cherry Hills lasted just over four hours and much of the meet took place before the temperature got too oppressive.
"We have had several challenges with practices this year with the cold weather, early thunderstorms, and then the steamy hot June," said Washington Head Coach Robynn Greer. "Our swimmers have hung in there and it shows in their performances at the meets. We truly have great swimmers and great parents. It is a short seven-week season but we hit the water swimming and seem to go nonstop until conference and the end of the season party is over. Our coaching crew works very well together which helps keep the enthusiasm level up for the meets and conference. The city has been helpful getting our starting blocks repaired and accommodating three home meets. We love showing off what Washington has to offer. Thanks to everyone for their continued support and letting this wonderful sport grow."
