While in theater, the unit served as part of a police transition team that helped Iraqi National Police learn their role and become an independent and proficient force within the country.
The company conducted 2,421 combat patrol missions on some of the most dangerous roads in Iraq and helped operate 37 police stations.

The Freedom Salute campaign is one of the Army National Guard's largest recognition endeavors. Since 2003, it has acknowledged more than 100,000 soldiers, family members, employers and other very important people for their contributions and support.
During the ceremony, individual soldiers will be recognized for awards and certificates and the unit will receive honors for its service.
Company History
The 1175th Military Police Company was reorganized and reactivated on Oct. 1, 2006, under the 205th Military Police Battalion, located in Poplar Bluff. The 1175th is headquartered in St. Clair.
The company's mission, on order, is to mobilize and deploy to a theater of operation and perform military police combat support, force protection and company sustainment operations.
Since reactivation, the unit has responded to three state emergency duty activations and one FBI search and rescue mission.
The unit mobilized in February of 2008 to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2008, 1175th REAR attended Golden Coyote Training Exercise in South Dakota, was activated and responded in support of Operation Waterfall, Operation Gustav Relief and Operation January Ice.
