York won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 38.52, posted second-place finishes in both the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.52 and the pole vault by clearing 14-6 and was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 21-5 1/2.
Also earning all-state honors and scoring team points for St. Clair were Brett Jones in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, second in 39.03, William Aitch in the 110-meter high hurdles, sixth in 15.03, and the 1,600-meter relay team of Josh Krueger, William Missey, Jones and Aitch, fifth in 3:25.
A number of other area athletes also earned all-state honors.
Reaching all-state status in Class 3 were Borgia's Matt Mee in both the 200- and 400-meter dash and Sarah Meiners in both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter run, Union's Jarred Cahill in both the shot put and the discus and Sullivan's Maggie Brueggemann in the shot put.
Area state medalists in Class 4 were Washington's Anna Holtermann in both the girls high jump and the long jump and the 3,200-meter girls relay team of Rebecca Brown, Molly Behr, Lauren Guasto and Celia Venezia.
