THE ELMS AT RIB AMERICA MAY 24 in ST. LOUIS

Seymour, IN-based rock band The Elms will appear at the U.S. Cellular Rib America Festival on Sunday, May 24 at 1:30 p.m. at Soldier's Memorial Plaza in downtown St. Louis. Admission is Free before 1:00 p.m. and only $5.00 after 1:00 p.m. Other acts appearing at the festival on that day include Third Eye Blind, Cowboy Mouth and Robert Earl Keen.

The Elms recently finished recording their highly-anticipated follow-up to the 2006 Universal-South release The Chess Hotel.  The new album is slated for a late summer 2009 release.  The new album was recorded in Nashville, TN; Seattle, WA and Portland, ME.  The band is beginning to put dates on the books for summer 2009 including headlining shows and festivals and serving as direct support with the likes of Blues Traveler, Peter Frampton and Jon McLaughlin among others.

More About The Elms:
The Elms are from Seymour, Indiana.  They have released three albums, The Chess Hotel [2006-Universal Records South], Truth, Soul, Rock n' Roll [2002-EMI/Sparrow] and The Big Surprise [2001-EMI/Sparrow] and the digital EP This Is How The World Will End [2008-T.R.U.S.T.]. All release are available via TheElms.net, iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and Napster.  The band has toured with the likes of Peter Frampton, Shooter Jennings and Cracker and appeared at Farm Aid 2008, Monolith Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheater, performed to an estimated 15,000 festival-goers on its inaugural tour of Europe in 2008, and secured premiere festival plays all over the Midwestern U.S. including Midpoint, Antipop, Spring Hill, Rib America and more.  The Elms have played over 800 concerts since the band formed in 2000.  The Elms' track, "The Shake", is featured in the EA Sports' NHL Hockey 2009 game out now.
