Stephens-Buchanan Wedding Vows Read

Angie Sue Buchanan and Christopher Shane Stephens were united in marriage Sept. 22, 2007, at the bride's family farm in Robertsville. The Rev. Linda Maconochie, Union, officiated at the 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony.


Bride's parents are Barbara Buchanan, Elkhorn, Neb., and Timothy and Maryann Buchanan, Robertsville. Grandparents are Larry Seefus and the late Bernice Seefus and Bill and Sue Buchanan.
Groom's parents are Denise and John Stephens, Winona. Grandparents are the late Joe (Jinks) and Mildred Davis and the late Guy and Eythle Stephens.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Serving as matron of honor was Brandy Braun, Gray Summit, bride's sister, who walked down the aisle with Friday, the bride and groom's black lab. Bridesmaids were Julia Pietryga, Elkhorn, Neb., bride's sister, Alicia Eaton and Kelly Stephens, groom's sister-in-law, both of Washington, and Julie Voyles, West Plains, groom's sister.
Best man was P.J. Peekins, Van Buren. Groomsmen were Dusty Pietryga, Elkhorn, Neb., bride's brother, and Aaron Stephens, Washington, groom's brother.
Flower girls were Gracie Baker, bride's cousin, and Taylor Eaton.
Personal attendants were Angela Cordova, Pacific, and Mandy Gilman, Sullivan. Guest book attendant was Courtney Snyder, Elkhorn, Neb. Program and bubble girl was Kailey Buchanan, Robertsville, bride's cousin.
Flowers and decorations were by Carol Jean Buchanan, Robertsville, bride's aunt.
A reception was held at the Pacific Eagles Hall.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Pacific High School and earned an associate's degree in fire technology from East Central College in May 2006. She is employed as a firefighter with the Cedar Hill Fire Department in Cedar Hill.
The groom attended Winona High School in Winona. He is employed by Edgewood Contracting in Union as a heavy operator.
The couple enjoyed a wedding trip to Chicago, Ill.
