Four Teens Injured in Car Wreck
Four Teens Injured in Car Wreck
Four Washington teens were injured in a one-car crash late Sunday night on Pottery Road just outside the city limits. The Missouri Highway Patrol said the four were in a northbound car driven by Alexandra A. Adams, 19, which ran off the road and overturned just before midnight. Injured were the driver, Austin W. Carey, 16, Branden L. Glaser, 15, and Simone D. Wyatt, 18. All were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Nora Soete helps author Amy Krouse Rosenthal read her book "Duck! Rabbit!" during Rosenthal's presentation Friday, March 5, at Family Reading Night. Rosenthal told the audience how she has always loved words and playing with them. She also shared poems from her newest release, "The Wonder Book," which she describes as a collection of short stories, poems, lists, palindromes, visual treats and random observations.

UPDATE: Suspect Arson at Old Shoe Factory
Union police suspect the fire that destroyed the loading area at a former shoe factory off Church Street, Union, Saturday evening, was set intentionally. Federal and county authorities, as well as Union police, are investigating the blaze. It is the second suspected arson in "close proximity" in two days. Both fires were in the city limits.
