The Washington School Board will meet in a closed session Wednesday to develop its protocol for the annual superintendent evaluation.
The board is transitioning to a new evaluation model. Board members also participated in a workshop this fall with a representative from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
The board will identify the indicators to be assessed, which are aligned to the district’s strategic plan, determine baseline performance for each and complete an evaluation form.
Additionally, the board will regularly assess progress and seek feedback, and then complete a follow-up for each indicator selected.
In January, the board will vote on a contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Lori VanLeer.
