Excessive flooding in the area has forced the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department to close two of its parks.
Indian Camp Creek Park and the Historic Daniel Boone Home are inaccessible.
Heavy rain caused Indian Camp Creek to overflow Sunday morning, spilling water over the main road into Indian Camp Creek Park near Wentzville.
High water on Highway F covered the road near Defiance, making it impossible to access the Historic Daniel Boone Home, just south of the flooding.
For the safety of park staff and guests, both parks will be closed until further notice. For more information about park closures, visit www.stccparks.org.
