A stretch of Interstate 44 in Franklin County will be closed overnight so crews can set girders for the new St. Mary’s Road bridge, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Crews will close one lane on westbound I-44 at Route 100 Thursday, June 28, at 7 p.m. Then all lanes of westbound I-44 will close on Friday, June 29, at 1 a.m. The interstate will reopen by 4 a.m. Drivers can detour around the closure by taking Route 100 (Washington) to Route AT to Route 50 and back to I-44.
Then, Friday, June 29, at 7 p.m. crews will close one lane on eastbound I-44 at Route O with all lanes closing on Saturday, June 30 at 1 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 4 a.m. Drivers can detour around that closure by taking Route O to Route AT to I-44.
All work is weather permitting.
