To The Editor:

Most would agree that we have a sick nation with many of our politicians on both sides of the aisle more concerned with their own re-election and welfare than our country’s welfare.

It isn’t too late if we will be determined to educate ourselves on the important issues (Democrats, Republicans, and Independents) and be determined to vote accordingly in every election.

They work for us if we will only speak up. A good starting place is a book by Dr. Ben Carson, a retired brain surgeon, titled, “One Nation.” He outlines what we can all do to save America’s future. He touches on all the major issues we are facing today.

Also, you can put “Run, Ben, Run” into your computer and get several articles as well as “You Tube” videos to learn about his past and hopes for the future. As an example, I’ll list three quotes — “People all over the nation are starved for honesty and common sense.”

Another quote, “Why is that eagle able to fly high and forward? Because it has two wings, a right wing and a left wing.”

One more, “There is no war on women, but a war on babies.”

This man boldly speaks the truth and is not a career politician. It seems to me the doctor has the cure.
