To The Editor:

My friend, Jean, and I spent a delightful Friday evening at the Washington Library.

We participated in the Adult Summer Reading Program, completing the required number of books in order to receive an invitation to “Murder Mystery Night” at La Speranza Restaurant (aka Library Meeting Room) to honor our dearly departed Giuseppe (Pepi) Roni and to enjoy a fine Italian dinner with his family and friends.

Arriving at the library we discovered we were not the only participants who had taken advantage of our fantastic library. The evening was filled with suspense and laughter, and everyone enjoyed the fine Italian food.

Just want to say how much we appreciate the efforts put forth by the library staff! I have always loved going to the library, and Washington Library and its staff has a 5-star rating with us.
