To The Editor:

On behalf of the VFW Post 2661 and Elks Lodge 1559, we would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s Santa Run a huge success.

We would like to thank the following businesses that provided drop-off locations and to all of their employees for their support: Modern Auto, Chris Auffenberg Ford, Straatmann Toyota, Barreth Automotive Group both here in Washington and Union, Jim Trenary Chevrolet, Hillermann Nursery & Florist, Schnucks Supermarket, Dollar General, Steak ’n Shake, Rothschild’s Family Restaurant, Rawlings, Unnerstall Oil Company, Penske Truck Rental of St. Louis, and Parker Hannifin Plant No. 2.

We also want to thank all of the members of both the VFW and Elks and all of the bingo players and people who visited both locations for their chicken and fish fry dinners for their unbelievable support that you continue to give to this program.

Again this year, because of the support that you all gave, we were able to do a total of 10 stops and put a lot of smiles on children’s faces during this holiday season. We would also like to thank all of the stops that allowed Santa’s sleigh to come to their place of operation.

Thank you for the support and the smiles that you gave, and we will see you again next year. Happy holiday season and a Happy New Year to everyone.
