To The Editor:

An open letter to Gov. Jay Nixon

Gov. Jay Nixon:

I applaud you for vetoing the school transportation bill.

This bill was ill-conceived not only for the cost to the home districts, but by showing favoritism to only a few persons. There are at least three options for anyone who doesn’t want to send their children to a public school in the district they reside in.

No. 1, home school; 2, private school; and 3, move to the district you prefer.

Thank you, Gov. Nixon, for doing the right thing.
