Hospital Grieves Loss of Dr. Zupan

Andy was a leader among our medical staff having served as division chief of pediatrics and also as a member of the medical executive committee.

Andy was widely respected for his medical knowledge and deep desire to improve the delivery of pediatric services in Washington. His strong commitment to our community was manifested through his work at the McAuley Clinic and later as a private practice pediatrician.

He had a great ability to listen and give you his undivided attention. He had many accomplishments, but you would never hear him talk about them. Andy was always focused on others. He embodied the “I’m third” lifestyle — God is first, others are second, and I am third.

The greatest testimony to his legacy rests with the many families who entrusted Andy with their most precious possession — their children. Dr. Andy Zupan will be missed, but remembered fondly.
