To The Editor:
The American Society of Civil Engineers just released a study that confirms we shouldn’t wait for a crisis to deal with our power grid.
The study gave our power grid infrastructure a D+. That’s awful close to failing.
Infrastructure is one of those things you don’t think about until it fails. However, it costs less and is better if you upgrade it before it fails.
When your heater or car starts to make noise, you know it’s about time to look at replacing it.
This ASCE report is telling us that it’s time to start making upgrades to our system before it fails.
The question is whether or not we will take action.
