To The Editor:

Shame. Shame. Shame.

Is anyone other than me tired of hearing of the improper decisions made by our county commission? I mean, come on, you are spending hard working tax dollars to get rid of a piece of property that generates minimal annual taxes. Really?

Our president said some time back that we need to hold our elected officials accountable. Maybe I misunderstood him or perhaps I expect more.

As far as I’m concerned we have some of the best schools, fire, ambulance, sheriff and judicial system in the country. That’s why my wife and I raised our children here and that is what raises my concerns.

The First Amendment allows us to make public comments as not to offend anyone, but it is obvious our commissioners have no problems belittling anyone who crosses their line. They are held to a higher standard or so I thought.

My letter to the editor in the paper wasn’t about who bought the property but how it was sold.

Maybe we should look to the positive side of improving our community and stop trying to blame everyone.

I want to thank everyone, including our volunteers who give their personal time to safe-keep all of us. Your efforts are not being overlooked at least not by the people of our county.

I welcome all comments good or bad. My email address is I can’t wait to hear from you. I will listen.

Thank you for your time and God bless.
