Don’t Lose Sight of Who Dr. Morris Was

To The Editor:

As a nurse who worked with Dr. (Keith) Morris for several years, I am saddened by the fact that the only thing the news reports is the fact that he was indicted in federal court and what his charges were.

Yes, he made a mistake, that is all clear to everyone. However, we should not lose sight of the fact that he was a terrific dad, always proud of his kids, always talking about both of them.

I think of the times when Jesse came in and brought food to his dad, his face lit up every time he saw his son. He truly loved his family very much. He always had a joke to tell, he was extremely funny, and great with patients.

He loved being a medical doctor and loved his patients. He was always available to his patients.

He was kind to the staff, never harsh, always had a smile!

That is how I think he should be remembered, not for the mistakes he made. We all make mistakes!
