Smoking Ban Violates Our Rights

To The Editor:

For or against smoking —

I do not smoke but do not want to tell others they can only smoke outside of restaurants and public buildings.

I would much rather eat at a restaurant with a smoking area than sit next to someone who chews, which is legal and has a spit can on the table next to me.

It is time to think of all the rights some people want to take from others.

Some persons are like little dictators and want to force their ideas on everyone else.

This is the United States, not Germany in the ’30s and ’40s or any other country ruled by dictators.

I think it should be left up to the individual owners of restaurants to allow or restrict smoking. If you don’t like his rules, go someplace else.
