To The Editor:
Mr. Miller implied that use of marijuana makes one schizophrenic.
Of course there are no studies showing the use of marijuana causes schizophrenia.
There is strong evidence that schizophrenics self-medicate with marijuana.
Mr. Miller and all of us should know and be taught in schools that every drug carries a variety of risks.
Let us assume that marijuana does cause this mental illness. How is the prohibition of marijuana helping our young people avoid schizophrenia, since it is much easier for a teen to buy marijuana than alcohol?
Indeed, how is marijuana prohibition helping anything?
