Outpouring of Support Has Been Phenomenal

To The Editor:

On Saturday, Nov. 10, my family and I suffered a devastating house fire.

I would like to thank the firefighters, police and EMS who immediately responded to the scene. You all have a thankless job risking your lives to help others.

A special thank you to Fire Chief Russ Hamilton for your compassion and calm demeanor with my children that night. There is not enough space in this newspaper for me to thank every single person who has given so generously to help us.

The outpouring of support has been phenomenal! We are blessed to live in a community where “help thy neighbor” is a motto we live by.

A huge thank you to our amazing friends and family, we would still be standing there staring at the devastation if you all wouldn’t have swooped in and saved us. As always, Cedarcrest Manor has made me proud to be a part of such a wonderful group of people — you all are the best!

And Mr. Lincoln ... I can never express enough gratitude to you for stepping forward and saving my family in this terrible time. You have given us a gift — to be together again, to heal and to move forward.

Another big thank you to the Union School District. Your love and support has meant so much to us! Thanks to everyone’s selfless acts of kindness, we are now able to focus on the future and not dwell on our loss.
