To The Editor:

I purchased a journal from an antique store in Hermann a few years ago and just now got around to flipping through the pages.

It’s actually a “Life in the Service” book that was used to record military and personal details. It belonged to Floyd Kohring, Union.

He was born in 1918 and died May 13, 1993. He is listed in the names of Honored World War II veterans for Franklin County.

I’m hoping to find a family member to whom I can return the book. Do you have any ideas on how I can find someone with that family name, living in the area?
