To The Editor:
Thank you for making the Rotary Tram Day a success. We are thrilled by how the community pulled together to make this event at the alternative location, the Swine Pavilion at Lions Lake, go as planned. The parks department, Washington Chamber, city of Washington, police department, Washington Fire Department and the Washington Rotary Club supported us in making this decision and they were instrumental along with so many volunteers to make this day successful. This year, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Rotary Tram Day with our largest crowd ever.
The seniors and others who attended are the ones who make this event so special. We truly appreciate you and all that you have contributed to our community for making it what it is today. Your smiles are what make our day so meaningful and special; you leave us with so many wonderful memories year after year.
Thank you to all the volunteers, local businesses and the students from Borgia High School and Washington High School who continue to make this event the wonder that it has become. It is a joy to watch each of you participate and bring smiles to so many. Words cannot express our profound gratitude to each one of you.
