Coal Plants Cause Health Problems

Dirty coal plants cause health consequences by their air and water pollution. Why do we allow utilities, lobbyists and some local politicians to control Congress?

Coal-fired power plants are a major source of pollution that contribute to heart/lung diseases and premature deaths. As a result of this pollution, health care costs are borne by local/state/federal governments (taxpayers). No price can be placed on pain and suffering.

The cost to make coal-fired power plants “cleaner” is much less than the health care costs.
