Freedom and Safety in a Dog Park

My family and I used to go to the creek and fields between Washington Middle School and Washington High School to let our dogs play fetch and swim in the creek. We can’t do that anymore, because of our dog, Sadie. She is a rescue dog, so we don’t know how she was treated in the past.

Even though we treat her well, she has proven to us that she is an independent dog who likes to explore.

With a dog park, we wouldn’t have to worry about her running across a highway and getting hit. I’m sure there are other dogs like Sadie that would enjoy the freedom and safety of a dog park.
