To The Editor:

Fresh off the Eric Hinson rape of the St. Clair Fire District, $593,236, the taxpayer gets the shaft again.

The Missourian (weekend, May 4-5, 2013 edition) reported that spouses of the St. Clair Ambulance Board receive free cellphones.

Through this excellent reporting, it was again exposed to the greed and waste of individuals, with exception of Jamie Clayton. This is an abuse of public trust and must be stopped.

St. Clair should check with neighboring areas and follow a pattern. The Meramec Ambulance District receives zero compensations.

It would be a good idea to do an independent audit of the St. Clair Ambulance District. We may find the same abuse that occurred in the St. Clair Fire District.
