To The Editor:
“Mayor Proclaims June LGBTQ+ Month” in the June 20 Missourian reports that a proclamation read at the Washington council states, “Millions of participants from around the world have traveled to commemorate and honor LGBTQ+ members of the community and to hold memorials for those who have been largely overlooked, silenced, and assaulted due to an aspect of their identity.”
Gay Pride parades are now being held throughout the world. One of the largest takes place in Tel Aviv, Israel. A growing number of professional sports teams are commemorating “Gay Pride.” Today even many clergymen are homosexuals as such Roman Catholic scholars as Randy Engel, author of “The Rite of Sodomy-Homosexuality and The Roman Catholic Church,” and Father Enrique T. Rueda, author of “The Homosexual Network — Private Lives and Public Policy,” have shown.
The Christian should show true love to all, including homosexuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community. He does this by telling them what the Bible says about homosexuality, marriage, man, and woman. God says in His word, that homosexuality is a sin and that if a person continues in this lifestyle, he is on the road to Hell: Romans 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Jude 7. On the basis of such Bible passages, Martin Luther wrote that homosexuality is inhuman and satanic, “Sodomy craves what is entirely contrary to nature. Whence comes this perversion? Without a doubt, it comes from the devil.

Christians want all, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, to go to heaven. They do this by telling them what the Bible says about homosexuality.
