To The Editor:

Jan. 22, 2018, marked the 45th anniversary of the tragic and infamous Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in the United States. During the past 45 years 60 million babies have been slaughtered. These babies are innocent victims of a society that refuses to recognize their personhood and the fact that life is a precious gift from God.

It’s time to end the slaughter and end legalized abortion. Minds and hearts must be changed to end the culture of death and darkness, and create a culture of life . . . and light.

In the words of St. Teresa of Calcutta, “For me, life is the most beautiful gift of God to mankind, therefore people and nations who destroy life by abortion and euthanasia are the poorest.”
