President Donald Trump has no one to blame but himself in regard to a book published that is highly critical of the president, members of his family and close aides. Steve Bannon had a key position in the Trump campaign and he was appointed as a senior strategist in the Trump administration before being fired.

President Trump should have never had Bannon on his team. He made a huge mistake in associating with Bannon, a highly controversial person who tries to champion conservative positions.

The president, in a statement released by the White House, downplayed Bannon’s role in his campaign and as a staff member. Trump said when Bannon was fired, “he not only lost his job, he lost his mind.”

The book is titled “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.” What Bannon said in the book and Trump’s response undoubtedly will help to sell the book, written by Michael Wolff. In the book, Bannon is quoted as saying Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, and a White House adviser, is as “dumb as a brick.”

Also in the book, Bannon said Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer during the campaign was “treasonous” and “unpatriotic.”

As to the comments by Bannon in the book, consider the source and then give a  credibility value to his words.

Distractions. Distractions. That is what the Trump presidency has had to deal with from his first day in the White House. But most of the distractions have been Trump-made.
