What is this country becoming with all the political correctness nonsense that is going on?

A new high in this senseless disease was reached by ESPN. The network removed an announcer from doing a game at the University of Virginia because his name is Robert Lee; he is Asian. He was scheduled to call the University of Virginia game against William and Mary Sept. 2 in Charlottesville.

“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name. In that moment it felt right to all parties,” is what the ESPN statement said. It was posted on the Fox Sports college football blog, Outkick the Coverage.

Gen. Robert E. Lee, a Confederate leader in the Civil War, has been targeted by the political correctness crowd, and Lee monuments have been removed in some states.

This anti-Confederate movement is part of the political correctness disease that has been spreading in a number of states. The Civil War happened and it is part of America’s history.

The Washington cities are named after President George Washington, who was a slave owner. He is considered the father of our country. To be politically correct, should these cities change their name? Are we going to have protests in Washington, D.C., demanding a name change?

Political correctness should be buried in a landfill with all of the other stinking trash!
