One of the best things about when the election is over, we won’t have to delete the constant pleas for donations by political candidates. They have hit a new high through the internet.

The requests for donations come from candidates we’ve never heard of, from a number of states, from the U.S. Senate to state offices.

Most of the funds are to pay for television advertising. The candidates of the two major parties in the race for the U.S. Senate, incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill and Republican Josh Hawley, have sent countless emails seeking funds with most from McCaskill.

Candidates are begging for money. We all know to run for a political office is too expensive. There should be a limit on politcal spending. But that’s probably not legal.

Another annoying thing is the political advertising — the same commercials over and over again. They are a bore. Some are so misleading that they border on outright lies.

Only a little more than three weeks to go before Nov. 6.
