The Washington Area Chamber of Commerce held its first Outstanding Young Professionals luncheon this past Tuesday.
With about 175 tickets sold for the luncheon, that tells a success story. The Missourian was proud to be a co-sponsor of the event.
There are many young professionals in this area who are worthy of recognition because of their accomplishments in their chosen fields and for thier outstanding volunteerism in civic affairs and for charitable causes. Thirteen young men and women were in the first class to be recognized in what will be an annual program.
Too often we fail to recognize the outstanding young people who are making a mark at an early age in their careers, and who are involved in activities that contribute to the well-being of the community. This program is designed to honor them for their achievements.
The program appears to have been well received and The Missourian looks forward to being a co-sponsor in the future.
