Who do the White House people think they are fooling with amateurish play on words? It borders on infantilism and attempts at acts of deception that are so obvious that it’s laughable.
Columnist Charles Krauthammer wrote about these amateurish acts of deception by the Obama administration. His column appears on this page.
An evacuation of an embassy is termed “a reduction in staff.” Terror attacks are “man-caused disasters.” The “global war on terror” is termed an “overseas contingency operation.”
Krauthammer wrote that all of this would be comical if it didn’t reflect a troubling reality: “The confusion of language is a direct result of a confusion of policy — which is served by constant obfuscation.”
We agree with the columnist that in the end, this isn’t about language. “It’s about leadership.” President Obama is hollow when it comes to leadership. He’s still trying to figure out exactly who he is and he’s as confused with that as he is in managing our federal government.
