To The Editor:

The purpose of city government is to provide for the health, safety and welfare of its citizens. You are not doing this! You should devote your full attention to achieve these goals, before getting involved with extracurricular projects.

At the April 8, 2014, Pacific city election, the voters elected a new mayor. He received more than 545 votes, which was about 100 more votes than his opponent received. It’s obvious, several of you are unhappy with the results of the election.

It appears, that to satisfy your egotism, you are doing everything you can to screw up the Pacific government. You have divided our citizens (United We Stand. Divided We Fall — Missouri Seal), and have ruined the city of Pacific for years to come. How can the citizens of Pacific have any respect for you when you are acting like this?

If you can’t put aside your hate for each other, when conducting official city business, then in the best interest and for the good of the city of Pacific you should resign!
