Explore the fall scenery on your motorcycle

Fall is characterized by changing leaves, football, hooded sweatshirts, cooler temperatures and, if you’re a motorcycle rider, one last chance to rev your engine before you have to place your bike into storage for the snowy, cold winter. Texas hills: Texas Hill Country stretches from Austin to San Antonio and is characterized by winding roads, spectacular views and historic places along the route. Russell Country: Montana is about more than cowboys and dude ranches. Great Plains: Kansas might best be associated with farmland and tornadoes, but during ancient times, the state was a giant inland sea, making its landscape a terrific one for riders. And it’s not all just flat farmland, but lakes, rivers and streams, hills and valleys and curves and bends. So if you’re thinking about an epic country ride, don’t forget about Kansas.

Wine country: Experience northern California on your bike with some wine sampling and country living. California’s wine country is full of hills and valleys, winding turns and, in the fall, beautiful scenery. Just cross the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco toward Sausalito and Marin County and head in the direction of the Muir Woods. The path is winding, the scenery is gorgeous and the roads, in the fall, will likely be deserted. On your way back into town, be sure to stop off at a scenic outlook, overlooking the bridge and bay.
