Norma S. Luecke
Norma Sophia Luecke, 87, Union, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8,
2012, in Chesapeake, Va.
She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Washington, the daughter of the
late Edwin F. Heeger and wife Clare, nee Niemann.
Mrs. Luecke graduated from Union High School in 1943. On Dec.
31, 1943, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Luecke.
Mrs. Luecke was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in
Union, V.F.W. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star
Naomi Chapter and St. John's Mercy Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Luecke; her
parents, Edwin and Clare Heeger; and one sister, Marcella
Kohring.
Mrs. Luecke is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann
Pettersson, Norfolk, Va.; granddaughter, Stacy Stroud and husband
Joal, Chesapeake, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra Norma
Stroud and Cole Stroud; her close friend, Ruth Beckmann, Union;
other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 13, at Oltmann Funeral
Home, Union, with the Rev. Mike Bone officiating.
Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Washington.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
The family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.
