Marlin J. Deppermann, 56, New Haven, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis.

Mr. Deppermann was born May 9, 1955, in Washington, the son of Rube Deppermann and wife Dalphrine, nee Kloppe.

He was united in marriage to Donna Healey May 13, 1983, at St. Sebastian Church, St. Louis.

Mr. Deppermann was a dear husband, son, father, brother, brother-in-law and proud new grandfather. He was a man of integrity, honor and respect. He loved life and looked forward to each day with his wife, children, grandchild and other family, all whom he loved dearly.

He was trustworthy, honest and hard-working. He was a gentle giant. His family will always cherish the memories. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit lives on.

Mr. Deppermann is survived by his wife, Donna Deppermann; his parents, Rube and Dalphrine Deppermann; two sons, Joshua Deppermann, St. Charles, and Kyle Deppermann and special friend Katie Yenzer, New Haven; two daughters, Dr. Kristen Deppermann Strasser and husband Dr. Mathew, Kansas City, and Megan Deppermann and special friend Tim Kemp, Columbia; two brothers, Dennis Deppermann and wife Anne, Denver, Colo., and Gary Deppermann and wife Peggy, Lake Saint Louis; one granddaughter, Malin Strasser; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Jan. 21, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, New Haven, with the Rev. William Zastrow officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Memorials to SFBRHS School Sisters of Notre Dame Scholarship Fund, Ebenezer Lutheran Church or Fern & Russell de Greeff Hospice House are preferred.

The family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
