Joshua Taylor Cook, 23, New Haven, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Mr. Cook was born in Columbia Feb. 11, 1988, the son of Ted Cook and wife Sherry, nee Schupp.

He graduated from New Haven High School.

Mr. Cook is survived by his parents, Ted and Sherry Cook, New Haven; his sister, Christy Hernandez and husband Carlos, New Haven; his niece, Isabela Hernandez, New Haven; his grandparents, Melvin B. and Faye Schupp, Sedalia; his uncle, Jason Schupp and wife Karry, Kansas City; three aunts, Tammy Frye and husband Jon and Shawna Thompson and husband Mike, all of Oak Grove, and Julie Markham and husband Brent, Pleasant Hill; other relatives and many friends.

He was currently working at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in the burn unit as a technician. Previously, Mr. Cook worked for New Haven Care Center, Mercy Hospital Washington, El Ranchito Restaurant and Boondocker Restaurant. He was a member of Revolution Cycles, Washington.

Funeral services were held at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Monday, Jan. 2, with the Rev. David Poe officiating.

Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or Breast Cancer Foundation in care of Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, are preferred.

The family was served by Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
