The Rotary Riverfront Trail cleanup, scheduled for this Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, has been canceled.

Mike Smith, a member of the Washington Urban Forestry Council, said "high standing water in designated cleanup areas and unusually early growth of vegetation along the trail" were the reasons for the cancellation.

Instead, members of the WUFC will hold a tree planting in celebration of Arbor Day and Earth Day.
