Mayor Reflects on Trip to Washington’s Sister City

The Mayors Meet!

Mayor Sandy Lucy visited in Washington’s Sister City, Marbach am Neckar, Germany, and she and Marbach Mayor Herbert Poetzsch extended greetings. Judging by the smiles, they further cemented relations between the two cities. The Washington delegation visiting Marbach included a number of firemen who participated in the 150th anniversary of Marbach’s volunteer fire department. Fire Chief Bill Halmich was a member of the delegation.

Washington Delegation in Marbach

The delegation that visited Marbach am Neckar, Germany, Washington’s Sister City, are shown in the heart of the city with Marbach officials and other leaders in the partnership program. In the delegation were Mayor Sandy Lucy, shown in the front row with Marbach Mayor Herbert Poetzsch, and Washington firemen, who participated in the 150th anniversary observance of Marbach’s volunteer fire department.
