Tickets are still available for the Franklin County Area United Way’s first ever “Piano Jam: Audience Participation Dueling Piano Event.”
The event will be held Saturday, July 20, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Center.
The event will feature professional pianists from Spanky Entertainment.
The show includes all music genres, from the 40s big band to rap, classic rock and country all in one fun evening, said Kim Strubberg, United Way executive director.
“How it works is audience members request favorite songs or artists and the piano players rock them out on two baby grand pianos,” Strubberg said. “But the audience participation goes beyond requests, as guests are welcome to join the performers on stage to belt out their favorites.”
Tickets are available by calling the United Way office at 636-239-1018 or from any United Way board member.
Tickets are $20 each, or $150 for a table of eight if purchased in advance. Individual tickets are $25 at the door.
Snacks will be provided, but people may bring their own as well. A cash bar will be available.
All proceeds from the Piano Jam benefit agencies and programs of the Franklin County Area United Way.
The United Way will kick off its 2013 campaign in early September. The goal will be announced next month.
