New Timetable for Phoenix Park Tennis Courts
Washington City Council members approved a change order request from Washington Engineering that will alter the timetable for improvements to the Phoenix Park Tennis Facility Monday night.
The change order provides a contract extension time of 49 days due to delays caused by the city.
Under this extension, the schedule allowed for the tennis courts to be paved the last week of June. The asphalt is being allowed to cure for 18 to 30 days before painting the courts. The paint would need 14 days to cure.
The new date of expected completion would be Aug. 12, said Director of Parks and Recreation Darren Dunkle in a letter to the council.
