Deadline to Register for Home Ec, Fine Arts This Friday
The deadline to register entries for the Home Economics and Fine Arts contests at the Washington Town and Country Fair is Friday, July 13.
Preregistration is manadatory for entry.
Preregistration forms are available at the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce office, in the Fair catalog or at www.washmofair.com.
Items to be entered must be listed on the form; exhibitors are limited to one form with a maximum of 30 entries only.
Forms must be filled out completely and returned to the Chamber office, 323 W. Main St., Washington, by July 13.
Entries are limited to residents of Franklin County or an adjoining county.
All Home Economics and Fine Arts exhibits must be original and have been made by the entrant since September 2011.
Once an item has been entered, it cannot be entered again.
The following changes and additions were made to the Home Economics and Fine Art Divisions entries for the 2012 Fair:
The new categories are as follows:
• Smocking — Silk Ribbon Child Garment.
• Smocking — Special Occasion Garment.
• Smocking — Other Item.
• Food Preservation — Canned Soup/Soup Stock.
• Food Preservation — Fruit Salsa.
The following categories were removed:
• Craft and Hobby — Wall Hanging (Macramé or Woven).
• Craft and Hobby — Creative Paper Twist.
Catalogs listing all categories and classes have been mailed to past exhibitors.
