While most schools are opening next week, St. Francis Borgia Regional High School held its first full day of school for all students Tuesday, Aug. 14.

Freshman orientation at Borgia took place Friday, Aug. 10, followed by the annual Luke 18 retreat which continued through Saturday afternoon.

St. Vincent de Paul School in Dutzow will open this Thursday, Aug. 16.

The first day of classes at Immanuel Luthern School is Monday, Aug. 20. A half-day schedule will be followed.

Students in the Washington School District will be back in the classroom next Tuesday, Aug. 21, with a full-day schedule.

Also opening Aug. 21 is St. John the Baptist School in Villa Ridge. Students will be dismissed early the first day.

Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School will resume classes next Wednesday, Aug. 22. A half-day schedule will be followed Wednesday and Thursday.

St. Gertrude Grade School also begins its new school year Aug. 22 with a 1 p.m. dismissal.

St. Francis Borgia Grade School, typically one of the last schools in the area to open, will welcome students back Thursday, Aug. 23. Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m.
