Authorities have charged a Washington man with possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine following a police raid Tuesday afternoon at a home in Sir Williams Trailer Court.

John W. Lundak III, 54, remained in the county jail Friday on a $10,000 cash-only bond.

Lundak pleaded not guilty to the felony charge in a video arraignment conducted Thursday, according to court documents.

Earlier Story

Washington Police and members of the Franklin County Narcotics Enforcement Unit seized a meth lab and arrested a man for a suspected meth lab just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers had information on a suspect that led them to a home in Sir William's Trailer Court off East Ninth Street and International Avenue.

The homeowner, a man in his 50s, gave officers consent to search the home for the suspect. The man acknowledged that there might be narcotics in the house, but refused to allow officers to search for drugs.

Officers then obtained a search warrant  and during the search, they seized a one pot meth lab located in the freezer compartment of a refrigerator, "numerous" syringes and other drug paraphernalia.

The man's name has not been released. He was taken into custody and may be charged with possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture meth.
